Writing about beauty should be rather easy as everybody knows what is beautiful and what isn´t. But if everybody knows it, what it means, should everybody be asked to write about it? Maybe it is a nonsense or perhaps it is the right way to find out and to write about what beauty is.

A young girl/boy would say that beauty is the boy/girl she/he likes. And so, beauty is something so simple: physical attraction. Later, o getting older that beauty might not be enough. What an amazing discovery is the beauty of being in love, and much more besides to be loved for who you love. Then, beauty is love.

However, if nobody loves you and you don´t love anybody, where has beauty gone?

Shopping everywhere along Ortega y Gasset Street in Madrid, buying whatever you like, could beauty be found just like that? Would the things around us or on us be the beauty? Think of a big diamond. Of course, that is beautiful. And even more if you are the only one to have it!!!! But does beauty reside in it? There is no doubt the diamond is beautiful. Is it more beautiful because of the fact of owning it when nobodyelse does? Or, although something is beautiful, could beauty lie in another thing? Does that mean that there should be some kind of morality in Beauty?

What a headache!!!!

Remembering some magic experience in some remote place …

Walking along a long path past a narrow entrance, a high, open-armed, a cross, surrounded by green, like a dolmen, welcoming everybody…

Leading to the descriptive, revealing sculpture where people lightly rise through the luminous hole on their way to the Heaven …

Wandering around, the pine trees shading lots of stones with such lovely, poetic and reminding inscriptions …

Climbing the hill, fighting with the gravel pits, sitting under the oaks, on the top, watching the peaceful landscape just below, everywhere you look, recovering your breath after the painfully steep effort, leaving yours tears falling down, and when your eyes are calmed, going down, just down, now step by step, to the exit…

Feeling within, illuminating every little part of yourself …

Singing, repeatedly, the enormous Narcissus lamps, located along the back path: “Light, I wanna see Light”, with the 2014 Eurovison Contest Spanish song …

If beauty is light in our eyes, beauty is there 59º 16’ 32’’ N    18º 05’ 58’’ E
